– About Taylor Moore –

There is a promise I carry, a commitment made not in words, but in my very being. It is a legacy passed down to me by fate, from a line of architects and artists whose gifts I feel in my own hands and see through my own eyes. For a long time, it was a quiet inheritance,
a purpose I was still trying to understand.

Then I came to Sintra. When I first stepped into the light and shadow of the Mountain of the Moon, I felt a profound sense of recognition, an embrace of understanding that seemed to acknowledge the very essence of my being. It was here that the mountain began to guide my craft, beckoning me deeper, urging me to use its language of stone, mist, and history to decipher my own purpose.

Of all the things I love, there is nothing to compare to this quest: to learn from the great, infinite wisdom of this place. These are not just photographs of palaces; they are chapters of my own becoming.

Taylor Moore is an internationally acclaimed architectural photographer whose work captures the soul of Europe’s most magnificent structures.
Focusing on Portuguese palaces and castles, Taylor developed his love for Sintra’s enchanting landscapes after a life-changing trip to the area in 2012.
His photography has been featured in Architectural DigestCondé Nast Traveller, and Country Life Magazine, as well as numerous online publications.

“The moment I encountered Taylor’s photographs, I felt something deeper—
an invitation to understand the soul behind the lens.
I had to reach out and learn how he captured such quiet power in every image.”
“Taylor’s photography has a distinctive style that captures
a magical quality in the landscape of Sintra,
as if we are in another world. “
“Beyond the grandiosity of the chosen perspectives and moments,
Taylors art turns centuries of history
into modern fantasy.”

Primordial in every artistic process is the photographer’s gaze, their capacity to capture the moment, the
sensitivity to light, the emotion and spirit of a face or landscape. Taylor Moore achieves all of this.
Only those who believe in the transcendence of this Serra can one day truly penetrate it. And Taylor can
always do so, like Camões, Byron, Eça or Pessoa. Because they know how to look at Sintra from within,
to give body and soul to their artistic photography with that depth so difficult to achieve. Because they are
one of the elect, the chosen ones.
